Frequently Asked
Questions

Why has the program changed from the previous years?
-
The biggest reason we had to make this difficult decision was due to the fact that the number of participants has been low for that past several years.
-
Kids will be placed into the correct age group
-
8U, 10U, 12U, 14U is the standard across the county
-
In the past few years, we have had to bump up 5 and 6 years old's into the next age group to be able to form 4 teams in one division. This becomes dangerous for the players.
-
For example, a 9 year old has to adjust his ability to insure a 6 year does not get injured.
-
This prevents 5 year old's from playing with 9 years old. Also prevents 9 years from playing with 12/13 year old's.
-
-
This format matches surrounding area programs
-
Cities like Coldwater and Sturgis have enough players to host their own league.
-
Cities like Union City, Quincy, and Bronson have to join into a league.
-
Is this a Travel Baseball Program?
-
Yes and No. We will not be traveling hours away to play a regular season game or be playing year round.
-
The format will be similar to the Rocket football/ cheerleading program, Sandy Koufax Program, and the Bronson Youth Softball program. Technically yes, you will be traveling, but you will also have home games.
-
Half of the games will be played here in Bronson, and the other half will be away games.
-
The schedule is designed to have the away games within a 30 minute drive.
Which divisions will be traveling?
-
10U Club/Rec, 12U Club/Rec, 14U Club/Rec
-
8U kid/coach pitch may have to travel. It depends on how many kids sign up for that division.
What happens if my kids can't make it to a game due to my work schedule?
-
This is a common problem. Coaches understand, and are more than willing to help out with travel.
What is the difference between the Club and Rec division?
-
To earn a spot on the Club, you had to tryout for the team
-
Club team regular season is a couple weeks longer than the Rec division.
-
Club teams will start practices 1 to 2 months before the Rec teams begin practices.
-
The level of competition is higher in the Club division.
-
The Club team participates in additional tournaments.
Why is the Club team $250?
-
Practices begin during the winter/ early spring. Teams have to rent batting cages and gyms to hold practices.
-
Average coat of a Tournament is around $600
-
Payment will be due in person
-
A payment plan may also be accepted
-
What size bat is my kid allowed to use?
-
For all divisions, any bat is legal to use
